Rajasthan’s beautiful Pink City offers its several places to visit in Jaipur. Tourists are not only mesmerized by the beauty of the Mahals but also attracted by the architecture and history of the Palaces.

1. City Palace

One of the most famous tourist attractions in this city is City Palace. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing during the period from 1729 to 1732. The well-planned palace is divided into a series of courtyards, buildings, and gardens along with the Chandra Mahal and the Mubarak Mahal with various other palaces. The architecture of this palace will strike a sense of amazement in you from the very beginning.

2. Jal Mahal

Pink City has several breathtaking monuments but Jal Mahal is the most astonishing among them. The splendid and tranquil Jal Mahal lies on the outskirts of Jaipur. As the name “Jal Mahal” suggests that it is present in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. Hence, another name of Jal Mahal is “Water Palace”. Moreover, this place used to serve as a shooting lodge for Maharajas. But in present, it attracts many visitors from all over the world.

3. Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is the signature building of this city and it stands at the intersection of the main road in Jaipur, Badi Chaupad. It was built in the 1799by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Moreover, this place is named as “Hawa Mahal” due to its unique structure. It has a mesh of small windows which allows cool wind to enter the palace.

4. Amber Fort

Amber Fort lies on the top of Aravali Hills which also forms the beautiful reflection across the Maotha Lake. More than five thousand tourists visit this place daily as it is an architectural masterpiece. Moreover, it also has a significant reference in the Indian history too.

5. Galtaji Temple

7. Jantar Mantar

The largest stone astronomical observatory that is present in the world is Jantar Mantar. Stands strongly just next to the City Palace of Jaipur, is still in a running condition. Moreover, it is featured on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites.

8. Albert Hall Museum

Being the oldest museum of Rajasthan, Albert Hall Museum stands as a perfect epitome of Indo-Saracenic architecture. This building is situated in the Ram Niwas Garden of Jaipur and is named after the Prince of Whales, Albert Edward.

9. Nahargarh Fort

Jaipur has various parks and sanctuaries but Jaipur Zoo or Zoological Garden deserves a special mention. Here exists flora as well as the variety of wild beasts and exotic birds. 17. Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh

18. Gaitore

One of the most prominent tourist attractions in Jaipur is Gaitore. Wondering what is it? Then let me tell you that it is a royal cremation ground for the Kachhwaha Rajput kings and member of the royal family. Gaitore came from Hindi phrase “Gaya Ka Thor”. It means “resting place of the departed soul”.

19. Birla Mandir
